Correction level Examples of applications
Basic +/- 23 m Radiometric corrections and corrections for distortions due to detectors Precision photogrammetry based on the parameters supplied (attitude, ephemeris and information on the instrument model)
Standard +/- 23 m Radiometric corrections and corrections for distortions due to detectors
geometric corrections according to a given type of map projection
For small surface areas or applications which do not require a high degree of location accuracy
Requires image processing tools
Orthorectified +/- 12.7 m Radiometric corrections and corrections for distortions due to detectors
geometric corrections according to a given type of map projection.
elimination of distortion due to relief by means of a DEM and ground control points (which are sometimes supplied by the user)
This product can be directly integrated in a GIS: an ideal underlay for making and updating GIS maps and data bases
Change detection and other analyses requiring a high degree of location accuracy
